Using Local Group Policy Editor feature can enable and disable many features here is one example;
Here is a quick guide on how to Disable/Enable Taskbar preview using LGPE.
Click on Start button and type GPEdit.msc in Search text box then hit Enter.
Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar in left pane of Local Group Policy Editor.
Now look in the Right Pane for Taskbar Thumbnails it should be the last one in the list and double click on it;
Select Enabled
Click Apply then OK to make the taskbar thumbnails Disabled.
You may need to Logoff and logon again or restart your computer for changes to take affect.
Thats it done!
To re-enable Taskbar preview feature just repeat the steps above but set it this time to Disabled or Not Configured.
There are many things that can be disabled or enabled from the Local Group Policy Editor.
